Beer Hall of Fame National Search Narrows to Include Twelve Great American Cities
Severna Park, MD August 30, 2004 –- Beer Hall of Fame founders have selected 12 American cities as finalists in their national search to find a permanent home.
"We have had a terrific response to our search! These 12 cities understand the historical and economic impact of being permanent host city to such a unique international destination. There is no other beer entertainment location like the Beer Hall of Fame anywhere in the world." stated Joe Gardenghi, Chief Operations Officer of Leisure Technician, LLC, of Severna Park, Maryland and one of the founders of the Beer Hall of Fame. "The competition is heating up!"
The following cities (in no specific order) have been selected to receive a Beer Hall of Fame Request For Proposal (RFP):
Portland, Oregon
Covington, Kentucky
Cincinnati, Ohio
San Diego, California
Chicago Southland, Illinois
Frankenmuth Michigan
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
St. Louis, Missouri
Baltimore, Maryland
San Antonio, Texas
Decatur, Alabama
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
"The Beer Hall of Fame will be the ultimate travel and tourism destination for the 90,000,000 million beer drinkers in the USA and hundreds of millions more from around the world," stated Gardenghi, "The Beer Hall of Fame will place one of these cities on the world map! The Beer Hall of Fame will house fine beer themed restaurants, a collection of beer memorabilia, Beer Radio broadcasting studios, music and entertainment venues, an education center, an enormous selection of beer and the actual Beer Hall of Fame. We will create a short list from these respondents and the host city will be announced in October."
Americans spent nearly 75 billion dollars on beer in 2003. (This is over 8 times the amount spent on ALL domestic movie tickets in the same period) These 90,000,000 people love to travel, taste, talk and revel in the adventure that surrounds great beer. Junkets of beer drinkers and their families will travel and spend the weekend to enjoy all the festivities at the Beer Hall of Fame. Membership in the Beer Hall of Fame is open to any passionate beer drinker.
