Alabama Songwriter Heads To Texas In Support of 6th Street
December 31 2003--Adam Hood, the twenty eight year old singer songwriter from Opelika, AL, will head west to Texas in support of his soon-to-be released CD, 6th Street - due out on Austin, TX-based Square Park Entertainment January 20, 2004. The CD is Hood's sophomore effort and first studio recording since he was discovered a few years ago playing the bars bordering Auburn University. The tour will begin on 1/23 in Jackson, MS with stops in Monroe LA, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Little Rock, Oxford MS, and Memphis among others. Hood will take his blend of southern-influenced roots rock into the Carolinas in late February with a stop back home in Alabama to open for Edwin McCain at The Supper Club in Auburn, AL on 2/10. Incidentally, Adam's CD is named for a favorite street in his hometown rather than for the one in the "Live Music Capital" of Austin, TX.
